May 2025 Clinic Update

We say ‘Čau & Hodně štěstí’ to Marketa…..

Vet Marketa will be leaving Horner Vets on Friday 16th May after 15 months of working with us. We will be very sad to see Marketa leave but she could not pass up the opportunity that was presented to her. She will be moving to Switzerland and we wish her & her family all the best for the future!

Sarah - no longer a student nurse!!

Back in March Sarah got the news she had been waiting for…..
she qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)!

After 2 1/2 years of studying at college, Nursing Progress Log (NPL) at Horner Vets, 5 theory exams, a professional discussion and then finally her OSCE’s in February! Sarah still can’t quite believe she has qualified. Sarah is coming back to the practice in her ‘new’ role from 2nd May & now just has to change her mindset to remember she’s no longer a student nurse! We are very proud of what Sarah has achieved!

RVN Holly smashes the Paris Marathon!

On 13th April Holly took part in her first marathon in the beautiful city of Paris!

After 3 months of intense training (trust us when we say Holly was dedicated!!) she completed the 26.2 mile race in 5 hours!

Thankfully for Holly she had nice weather with it being overcast & not too sunny and she is now looking forward to taking part in another marathon in the future. Well done Holly!!

We welcome Georgia to our clinical team!

Georgia Abbots has joined our team as a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA).

Having previously worked in animal rescues and other veterinary clinics Georgia gained a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Her days with us are now spent providing assistance and support to all members of the team, most notably the vets and nurses as well as recovery of your furry friends who join us in the practice for procedures!

Birthday Wishes!

This month RVN JB will be celebrating his birthday on 21st May! Although he will be in work with us all we hope he gets chance to celebrate!

Happy Birthday JB!
